a dark comedy about depression, an isolated camping trip, and a wild grizzly bear named Betty;
a punk rock exploration of how music shapes who we are and where we’red headed;
a multilingual drama about immigration, survival and life on the border;
a coming out story about faith and loving who we love and also the drag virgin mary.
We want you to help us bring these stories to life.
Thank you for your interest in directing with Campfire Theatre Festival! We are on the hunt for four talented directors to direct staged readings at our festival. We are particularly looking to offer opportunities to artists that identify as part of underrepresented groups, as well as artists that identify as early-career (those who have not worked on large professional productions or for large professional companies before). All directors will receive a small stipend. Directors from outside of Boise will have their travel and housing in Boise provided (applicants must live within the USA). The commitment will be September 1-9, 2019 in Boise, Idaho.
